Who is Jack Dorsey?

In 2007, a former school teacher had a vision- A vision that would change the definition of communication and post sharing forever. His name was Jack Dorsey and he had a vision about twitter(now X).

Now Dorsey intended to create a platform which would connect people from all across the globe instantly, with just a click of a button. To make his dream a reality he shared it with 3 of his friends, who would later on become to be the co-founders of twitter.

But the ride was not easy, Twitter failed to get early recognition and investors dismissed it as a delusion. But some time later, in the South by Southwest conference, the attendees used Twitter to coordinate and communicate their schedules which marked the steady rise of Twitter’s rise to fame. Twitter’s impact was evident when it was used by protestors in the Arab Spring to organize protests and communicate real-time information.

In 2013, Twitter went public with an IPO raising $1.82 billion, valuing the company at $24 billion. Right now Twitter boasts a userbase of 362 million and has diversified its services to live-streaming, advertising etc.

Their collective effort has not only proven to be successful but also influenced the future of real-time communication. In late 2022, Elon Musk had acquired Twitter at $44 billion dollars🤯and changing the name and rebranding our favorite bird to an “X”😔
