The royal wedding of Anant Ambani(who is the son of Asia’s richest billionaire Mukesh Ambani) and Radhika Merchant set in Mumbai unfolded in 3 stages with over $600 MILLION spent on all three stages.

• Wedding ceremony: Taking wedding vows

• Wedding reception: To celebrate the newlywed often with food, dancing and so on.

This wedding as a whole was a BALLER, with famous superstars like Rihanna(she got paid $6 million just to perform here), Katy Perry, The Backstreet Boys and Justin Bieber. That’s not all, Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was also present there to congratulate the couples.

Pre-wedding festivities have been attended by the likes of Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton, John Cena, Ivanka Trump, and Bollywood stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh.

The extravaganza and the display of opulence that comes with the wedding have led many to raise questions about rising inequality in India, where the gap between rich and poor is growing. The event has also sparked anger among some Mumbai residents, who say they are struggling with the ongoing traffic.

What surprises me the most is that the average per capita income of an Indian is $2.6K but the average wedding in India is about $15K.

This is about 6 years of income. If they take a loan, it will take them 15 years to repay! 🤯
