The MrBeast challenge that puzzled Millions
The gruesome story of finger on the app challenge
Instead of playing Call of Duty 24/7, you could play one single game and win $25,000 with just a tap💸.
In 2020, MrBeast released his viral challenge of the decade “Finger on the app”.
All you had to do was keep your finger on the app for as long as possible. It might sound easy but its actually not. Imagine this: people glued to their screen late night🌃afraid to sleep in the fear that they might lose their 20 hour streak.
Here comes the tricky part: you might think that you can game the system by attempting to put a fake finger on the screen, coding a script to cheat, have a bunch of people volunteer to take turns. 🏃♂️
The app was smarter than all that by throwing random distractions, forcing players to prove that they were still paying attention. One wrong move and you are eliminated.
After a grueling 70 hours, a winner finally emerged walking away with the grand $25,000 prize. But as always MrBeast handed out consolation prizes to the top 4 participants bringing the grand total to $80,000.
Following its massive success, MrBeast released “Finger on the App 2”, this time with $100,000 on the line. This time it lasted for 51 hours. ⏲️
MrBeast didn’t just create a game, he created a massive social experiment, pushing the limits of technology and stamina with just a tap of a finger. 👇
